Musician - DJ Package
Welcome to the Ultimate Package!

Picture
Elegant & Affordable.
Keep in mind that below is a typically requested scenario. We hand-tailor each reception to reflect the bride & groom's request. This is your Wedding Day and as your music coordinator,  I will be happy to work closely with you so that we may create the reception that specifically reflects your tastes and wishes.

Your DJ and musician will arrive at the facility at the same time to set up their equipment. Typically this is about an hour and half prior to the start time of the reception. Usually, the cocktail hour is the first hour of the reception. This time is set aside for your guests to arrive and have drinks and/or lite hors d'oeuvres as they await the arrival of the bride & groom. You can expect elegant background music from the 1920s, '30s, & '40s, including jazz standards or popular music played by the musician written by composers including Cole Porter, George Gershwin and Rodgers & Hart, just to name a few. As soon as your first guest arrives the music begins to play. As soon as the bride & groom arrive at the reception, the musician will stop playing music and the DJ will step up as Master of Ceremony to make the Formal Grand Introductions of the wedding party and bride & groom. (This is optional, of course).

This is a great time for the first dance.  The musician will resume the background music and the last of the cocktails will continue. The DJ will announce that dinner is to be served,  (if sit down) and the musician will continue to play until the toast is made. While cocktails & dinner are in progress, the musician will not take a break. You will have continuous music for first two hours of your reception! After dinner, the DJ will begin to progressively pick up the tempo of your reception until it peaks into a full-blown party.

About the musician:
Your Musician can either wear coat & tie or a tuxedo. He will call and talk with you directly to hand-tailor his songlist to your taste. Pay close attention to the mood that you wish to set during your cocktails and dinner. We offer many "solo musicians" i.e. pianist, guitarist, saxophonist (who plays with background tapes sounds like a full quartet). Our soloist can play either jazz standards or popular music including Elton John and Billy Joel. Checkout the songlist of performers featured below.

About the DJ: I have observed that all DJs offer about the same services. The market dictates that they all have about the same equipment, i.e. lights, sound, and selection of music. My experience has led me to believe that the only difference between DJs are their personalities. Can they get your crowd up and dancing without being obnoxious? Are they polished and well spoken? Are they willing to accommodate even the most  demanding request? Are they interactive without being overactive? These are the questions that are important to us when we select our DJ's.

TEA has over 45 exceptional handpicked DJs. They are fun and witty, they are fast on their feet, and they really care about doing a great job!  After a phone consultation, a music coordinator will be able to tell you who would be the perfect match for you and your guests. But it's not my decision to make. I require all DJs under consideration to call and talk to you directly for an "over the phone interview", so that you may select the DJ that you want to work with. I can guarantee you that if they are calling you, they are excellent at what they do and surpass the first paragraphs questions.  You're not taking any chances with quality - but this offers you a selection of DJ's to choose from that have proven track records with our agency.

Both the DJ and the musicians are extremely professional. You won't have to worry about anything! They won't smoke or drink alcoholic beverages during their performances, they will be on time, they will play your requested songs from their list. They will do everything possible to make sure that your reception is a great success!

My job is to help you find the performers that you like, without you having to do any leg work. I will provide you with the leading performers in our area.  Also, as your "Music Coordinator" I will coordinate between the banquet director, the musician, the DJ and you. Basically, if you decide to employ your performers through us, you won't need to do anything else. We will coordinate everything, including set up, load in instructions, tables, and electrical requirements, with your venue. This will free up your time so that you can focus on other important details!

We have designed this package for our brides and grooms who want the very best without having to cut corners or spend a fortune. This is really a great package,  we have combined elegance with fun. You have the best of both worlds,  for a fraction of the cost of a live four piece Top 40 Band for four hours (about $1800.00).  We can customize your reception with your choice of one to two hours of quality live music for cocktails and dinner and four hours of dancing! A total of  six hours of music for only $1,200.00.

I leave you both with my congratulations on your engagement and my best wishes! Choosing music for your reception is a difficult decision. You're not alone though, I'll do my very best to help you. Thank you for your time and your consideration
