One Important thing that you should know:

In Raleigh like all cities, there are a finite number of "premier players", a pool of performers, so to speak.
If you are shopping around, you should start to hear the same names of musicians and bands popping up over & over,
in all genres of music.
That's because all local agencies are representing most of the same great performers!

Most performers are considered to be freelance musicians.
This means they are hired hands and will work for anyone.

The only time this does not apply is if an agency offers "exclusive contracts" to bands.
An exclusive contract means that an agency is "obligated" to keep their contracted bands booked.
The bands can not go out on their own and book jobs
 without representation of their agents.
This commitment between the two makes the agencies responsible for keeping their bands fed and working.
It binds the agency to the bands- and not to you.

This might not always be a good thing- for you.

TEA does not have exclusive contracts with any of our performers.
We are not bound to any band, which frees us
to be completely obligated to you- our client.
We are always working in the best interest of our clients.
Submitting bands who are perfect for your event is our primary mission- there is no other reason.
This is good!
What this means is all you have to do, is a find a reputable entertainment agency that you feel comfortable with. One with whom you know is working on your behalf. An agency that cares about you and your event and gives you a peace of mind. An agency that has good solid contracts, that not only protect the bands but protects you.

Be careful and ask any business that you are considering for their City of Raleigh's Business License.
You should call the City of Raleigh to verify that the business you are considering
is licensed and when they received their licenses to do business.

The number for the City of Raleigh is 919-996-3200 x: 3.
You should also contact your Local BBB  to see if there are complaints or grievances filed against the company.

TEA's Privileged  Business License Number is: 24209.
