Kickin Grass Band. Courtesy of F/Stop Grooves For the past 10 years, Raleigh’s Kickin’ Grass Band has found its way with a combination of traditional and original songs, youthful exuberance and personal charm. Grounded in bluegrass, the band fits comfortably playing a jamgrass festival as well as at venues whose audiences remember the early years of Monroe and Flatt and Scruggs. The past three years have been an emotional roller coaster for the Kickin’ Grass Band, with the deaths of two family members leavened somewhat by the birth of a healthy baby girl. The veteran quintet’s newly released CD, “Walk With Me,” is the band’s personal statement of grief, questioning, acceptance and hope. On Saturday, Kickin’ Grass will showcase songs from the album along with other favorites at the Pour House Music Hall. $10 advance - buy your ticket today / $12 door Door Opens 8pm / Show 10pm
